On Tuesday September 8th 2015, we celebrated the beginning of the new year at an event in Sam and Lisette Pinto’s home. Sam is Kol Israel Haverim’s chairman of the board. This is a second year in a row that  Pinto family hosts this special event, following last year’s great success. The guests this year, much like last year, enjoyed the kind hearted and warm hospitality of the Pintos. Everybody felt how the Pintos truly opened both their home and their hearts, creating a festive, yet cozy atmosphere.

Foundations’, Jewish federations’, private donors’ and corporate responsibility managers and ministry of education representative met with Kiah’s board members and management team. The event was honored with the presence of MK Elie Elalouf and Former Chief of staff Gabi Ashkenazi, Chairman of the board of the Rashi foundation.

This gathering was a rare and an informal opportunity, where policy makers and executives of all sectors, talked to one another in direct, face-to-face conversations. This is an optimal example of synergy at its best. Beyond the encounters and fascinating collaborations that started to form, we listened to intruiging lectures by inspiring, award-winning educators. They shared with us their educational vision, personal stories and the actions that won them their awards.

We hope that they new partnerships which began during this event, will soon carry fruits and that we will have the pleasure of meeting once more to celebrate these new successes.
