A Tradition of Social Responsibility & Educational Excellence
Alliance - Kol Israel Haverim (KIAH) is a leading educational organization in Israel, and part of the Alliance Israélite Universelle organization that was established in 1860 in France in order to promote solidarity among Jews worldwide. The founders of Alliance Israélite Universelle created a bold educational framework enabling Jewish pupils in Islamic countries to integrate into their surrounding environment by providing them with modern education while simultaneously strengthening their Jewish traditions.
Over a million students have passed through Alliance Israelite Universelle - KIAH (Kol Israel Haverim) institutes and programs.
In Israel, Kol Israel Haverim (KIAH) works within formal and informal educational frameworks and reaches over 50,000 people a year across Israeli society, with a focus on the country’s social and geographic peripheries. KIAH works towards two main goals:
- Advance educational excellence for all children regardless of socio-economic status or geographic location that in turn will lead to increased social mobility.
- Offer a Jewish education that emphasizes social responsibility and involvement, while cultivating Jewish leadership committed to social activism.
תכנית מארג פועלת בבתי ספר ממלכתיים, מסייעת לקהילות בית הספר ומלווה אותן, בתהליך בירור זהותן היהודי, ציוני, אזרחי ודמוקרטית. התכנית, מיסודה של קרן אביחי, פועלת כ-14 שנה, שבהן סיימו את התהליך אתה למעלה מ-100 בתי ספר. תכנית מארג היא חלק מהחטיבה לזהות יהודית בכל ישראל חברים זו השנה הרביעית.
בנות, תסתערו על תקרת הזכוכית
סודקות את תקרת הזכוכית" - כך נקראת התוכנית שבה השתתפו 100 נערות מנתניה, שבה הן מקבלות תיגבור בלימודי המתמטיקה והמדעים. גילת סימון, מנהלת אגף התיכוניים במינהל החינוך: "התוכנית היא יוזמה ייחודית של אליאנס - כל ישראל חברים שנועדה להוות צוהר לעתיד טוב יותר עבור נערות אלו".
דברי הפתיחה של יהודה מימרן מנהל (1999-2005) המרכז למנהיגות יהודית חברתית 'ממזרח שמש' בכנס היסוד.
היהדות נותנת מקום מרכזי ביותר, אולי מכריע לערכים החברתיים. מרכזיות זו באה לידי ביטוי: בריבוי המצוות הקשורות ליחסים שבן אדם לחברו, בדברי הנביאים המוכיחים נגד פגיעה בזולת - בגוף, בנפש וברכוש ותובעים להיות קשובים למצוקות הזולת, ודרך הבולטות של ערכים אלה בחיי המעשה של קהילות יהודיות בגולה, עד לפני כמה עשרות שנים.
אין כמעט אנשים הטוענים שאין זה ראוי לעזור לזולת, למנוע עוול, או לבסס חברה על צדק ויושר. למרות ההסכמה הכמעט גורפת למרכזיותם של הערכים החברתיים הרי שהמציאות החברתית, שאנו חיים בה, עומדת בניגוד צורם לערכים אלה.
